Mental Health Counselors/Therapist
Join our progressive, qualified agency providing
community-based mental health services to adults, seniors, and children
with psychological disorders. HCCS make an emphasis on providing
services with professionalism and teamwork in order to exceed client’s
expectations and deliver outstanding, quality care.
In order to work with individuals, families, and groups to address and treat mental and emotional disorders and to promote optimum mental health. Counsel with emphasis on prevention. May help individuals deal with family, parenting, and marital problems; suicide; interpersonal relationships; anger management, conflict resolution, problem solving; stress management; problems with self-esteem; and issues associated with aging and mental and emotional health.
WHO CAN APPLY?
People with an interest in working with individuals who have psychological, emotional or behavioral difficulties. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in social work or related human services field (e.g. psychology) required. At least two years experience working with a mentally ill adult/child population preferred. Strong working knowledge of DSM IV, psychiatric/psychosocial assessments, brief crisis intervention, and community mental health systems preferred. Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred. Flexible hours.
